I produce most of my art with pencils, gel ink pens, and computer programs. Most of my work is bold and colorful, yet smooth and polished. My work mostly deals with exploring my childish imagination, using playfulness and a lot of pop culture imagery. I am most heavily influenced by the graffiti and street art of Banksy, and the bold pop culture imagery of Andy Warhol. My art most commonly includes pictures of people I respect, cartoons, modern culture references, and most importantly, fonts and typefaces, which represent the things in this world that I am most passionate about. I hope that my artwork inspires people to see the beauty of typography and lettering,but mostly, i hope that all who see my art will simply smile and laugh.

 

Aliyah Gantt was born in Columbus, Ohio and she currently lives in rural Southeastern Ohio. She is not married, but she is a mother to a wonderful blue beta fish named Riversong. She graduated from Eastern High School and is currently attending the University of Rio Grande to pursue a degree in Graphic Design, one day hoping to work in advertising.
